Our Idea

Description
Idea:

A coin's unit is whatever you denominate it in. Pick a stock and every buy, sell, fee and reserve in that market is that stock. The coin's price stays its own.

How It Works

Four steps
01

Pick a stock

Tesla, NVIDIA, the S&P 500, gold or the dollar. pons decides what is allowed; we read its list.

02

Name your coin

Name, ticker, picture and a few lines. Choose where the 2% goes: platform, you, or holders.

03

Sign once

One launch transaction on Robinhood Chain. The pair is written into the curve for good.

04

Trade and graduate

People buy with the stock and sell for it. Fill the curve and it opens a Uniswap v4 pool in that stock.

Questions

FAQ
Ask:
What does “denominated in a stock” mean?
The coin's bonding curve is paired with a tokenised stock instead of ETH. You buy the coin by paying, say, TSLA; when you sell you get TSLA back. The reserve, the fees and the Uniswap v4 pool it graduates into are all in that stock. The coin's price is its own: it does not track Tesla.
Where do the stocks come from?
They are Robinhood's tokenised shares and a few other assets on Robinhood Chain, approved as pair tokens by the pons v2 factory. Tarlan reads the list from pons; it cannot add, mint, freeze or redeem any of them.
What does it cost to launch?
pons charges a small launch fee in ETH (read live on the launch page) plus gas. You can add a first buy, paid in the stock you picked, in the transactions right after the launch; the deployer is exempt from the snipe tax.
Where does the 2% go?
Every trade pays a 2% creator tax in the stock, to the platform treasury. At launch you pick a fee mode: all of it to the platform, half paid back to you, or half shared among holders. The keeper pays creators and holders in the same stock.
What happens at graduation?
When enough of the stock has gone into the curve, pons sweeps it and opens a Uniswap v4 pool, also paired with that stock. Trading continues there.
Is this safe?
No launchpad is. pons v2 is unaudited, launch coins can go to zero, and the stocks belong to their issuers. Nothing here is investment advice. Read the risks.
